Physical Education

At Caythorpe Primary School we offer PE curriculum which is broad in it's coverage of skills and sporting and active opportunities which all children, irrespective of age, gender, SEN, disability or abilities have access to.

We are proud of our third School Games Platinum Award. The school received the runner up award in the Active Lincolnshire Sports and Physical Activity Awards as Most Active Primary School for 2019 and winners in 2022. Our Sports Ambassadors were awarded "Sports Crew of the Year" from the Sleaford district.

Our curriculum gives children opportunities for participation, enjoyment and success whilst developing their confidence, independence, and resilience.

We aim to teach children the importance of leading a healthy, active lifestyle, whilst promoting personal, social, intellectual and spiritual physical development. PE at Caythorpe Primary School can also provide opportunities for cross-curricular activities for children to develop key skills of communication, application of number, ICT, team work and problem solving.

We have Carres Outreach Active Coordinator (Miss Faukner) who visits every Wednesday to support in delivering a session of curriculum PE for each class. Miss Faulkner also trained and supports our Active Ambassadors to deliver active activities to children in Neverland and Enchanted Forest.
All children have the opportunity at some point throughout the year to represent the school at an inter-school event run by CGS Outreach.
