Tractor Visit
Preschool, Neverland and Enchanted Forest were treated to a visit from Dan the Farm Manager at Ward’s Farm and his tractor on Tuesday.
Dan talked to the children about daily life on a farm. At Ward’s farm, barley, wheat, potatoes and poppy seeds are some of the crops grown. The children found out how the crops are harvested. Mr Roberts and Miss Cook were impressed with the questions the children asked to find out more.
The children were particularly amazed by the size of the tractor wheels. The children could sit inside it!
All these learning experiences help make the children’s learning meaningful and memorable. A big thank you to Mrs Arden for organising the visit.
