Caythorpe certainly celebrated the momentous occasion of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in style. We started the day with the FSA Coffee Morning. Thank you everyone who supported, it was wonderful for the children who entered the create a crown competition. Everyone was so impressed with the amount and quality of the entries. The children paraded to the Queen’s Coronation fanfare.
Mrs Locke worked with all the children to bake and decorate cupcakes with a Jubilee theme. They were delicious!
The children ate their coronation cupcakes at breaktime. During the day they took part in lots of fun activities. Blow painting, serving tea to the Queen, making sun catchers, tissue paper collage of Union Jacks, flag making to name but a few.
Finally, we had our Celebration assembly to award the competition winners. Shannon and Lyra were the winners of the stamp competition,
Jack B, Jack H, Martha, Abby, Edward, Isabella, Troy, Athena, Isabelle, Anais, Ayla, Albert James, Albert and Jaxon all received a prize for their amazingly creative crown entries.
Don't forget to purchase your Caythorpe Jubilee Tea-Towel - £5 each or 2 for £8. Available for sale at the beginning and end of the school day, or from the school office.
