Girls’ Football CGS Event
Last Friday a team of Y5/6 and a team of Y3/4 girls took part in the Girls’ Football tournament and festival at Sleaford Football Ground.
The Year 5/6 girls team played a tournament against other teams in the area Navenby, Cranwell and Church Lane. The team won against one, drew against another and lost a game.
Hallie said “I loved it, I made new friends from other schools too.”
The year ¾ girls team took part in drills and activities to practice key football skills including dribbling and shooting for goal. They then put their skills to the test in small sided games against other teams in the afternoon.
“It was fun!” Shannon reported. Colette said, “It was great. I loved it so much I’d do it all again!”
