Celebrating All Things Lincolnshire
Key Stage two thoroughly enjoyed their trip to the Lincolnshire Showground for the Lincolnshire day School event. The children took part in a carefully timetabled day, working in small groups across a selection of unique hands-on learning workshops led by local businesses. They rotated swiftly between activities on a half hour basis, with the opportunity to learn new skills and be guided by experts from a range of backgrounds from the county.
Some of the other groups enjoyed activities such as crossbow shooting, netball and leather stamping.
Colette said, “I particularly enjoyed the crossbow activity because it was a good opportunity to try something new.”
Lorna said, “I like the leather stamping because I got something nice to take home with me.”
Jack said, “The Co-op stand was interesting because there was a range of activities and we got to try lots of foods including cheese and crisps!”
The children learnt about Lincolnshire’s traditions, history, culture, sport, food and business. The aim of the day is to develop knowledge and celebrate the wonderful county we live in and everything it is famous for!
