This year, our Year 4, 5, and 6 students embarked on an exciting residential trip to Castleton. The adventure began with a challenging 12km hike, during which the children ascended over 500 meters, climbing up into the clouds. Despite the less-than-ideal weather, our resilient students demonstrated remarkable perseverance and team spirit. The sense of achievement upon reaching the summit made the strenuous trek worthwhile, leaving everyone with a sense of pride and accomplishment.

The second day was filled with thrilling activities. In the morning, the children had a fantastic time bouldering, navigating over, under, and through various rock formations. This activity tested their agility and problem-solving skills, and they rose to the challenge admirably. The afternoon brought a refreshing change of pace as the students went canoeing on a large reservoir. Paddling across the serene waters, they enjoyed working together and honing their rowing techniques.

On the final day, the group delved into the depths of Treak Cliff Cavern, where they learned about the rare and beautiful Blue John stone that is mined there. This immersive experience provided a perfect blend of education and adventure, rounding off an unforgettable trip to Castleton.
