SAFEGUARDING

SAFEGUARDING PUPILS

SAFEGUARDING
Safeguarding is of paramount importance at our school and we comply with the statutory expectations of 'Keeping Children Safe in Education' (latest edition- see below). We also understand our responsibilities under PREVENT duty and all our staff have annual safeguarding training.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Helen Hunt, Headteacher.

The Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead is Miss Cassy Cook.

Governors responsible for safeguarding on the Local School Board is Mrs Sarah Smith.

In the event of anyone above being unavailable, please contact the Designated Safeguarding Trustee, Paul Tallentire on 03300 585 520.

Our staff and regular volunteers have all the required safeguarding checks and we have a secure and safe site.

As a school we work hard to promote a culture of safeguarding and to respond to our local context. This is reflected in our policies and processes as well as in our PHSE curriculum and in teaching children how to be safe on line. We also provide information evenings to parents re online safety.

Prevent

Our Prevent Risk Assessment outlines the school's contextual risk and actions to support the Prevent Duty.
