Narnia Residential at Sherwood Forest
Narnia came home after their residential exhausted after all their fun activities at Sherwood Forest Youth Hostel, Edwinstowe.
The children visited the Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre and learnt all about the history of the ancient forest home to the enduring legend of Robin Hood.
Albert and Colette’s favourite activity was den building which encouraged teamwork, resilience and cooperation skills. The food was a highlight for many of the children, Jack loved the chocolate fudge cake and Abby enjoyed toasting marshmallows!
A talent show was the evening entertainment. Shannon and Ruby thought the Major Oak was magnificent. The children used their experiences when they returned to the classroom to create a shape poem about the Major Oak. Thank you to Mrs Harness who accompanied the children.
