80% of the nation’s children are not eating enough vegetables, with a third eating less than one portion of vegetables a day. We are working with The Farm Kitchen to support this year’s national campaign to encourage children to eat more vegetables.
Mrs Hunt’s Monday assembly via TEAMs will introduce the programme to the children. Each week will feature a rally cry around one of Britain’s family-favourite vegetables. The Farm Kitchen will be providing tasting sample dishes of each week’s veg, with stickers to reward those who give them a try which will add to their individual reward charts. This week kick-started with the tomato. For the following weeks it will be sweetcorn, peppers, carrots, peas and finally broccoli.
