Enchanted Forest and Neverland do like to be beside the seaside and thoroughly enjoyed their visit to Skegness to compliment this term’s topic.
As part of their learning in geography, the children identified and visited geographical features which are at the seaside, but not found in Caythorpe. The children visited the Lifeboat station, the pier, the beach, public amenities and amusement arcades.
Back at school, the memories of the visit aided the children’s writing. After exploring features of a recount and ordering pictures from the trip, the children write recounts of their experience.
Thank you to parent/carer volunteers who accompanied the visit. Also a thank you to Woodlands School, one of our CIT schools who were a stop off for a comfort break.
