The Year 5 and 6 visited The Civil War Museum in Newark as part of their topic “Would you rather be a Roundhead or a Cavalier?”.
All the children in Hogwarts Class had a brilliant day. They completed three interactive workshops as well as exploring the exhibitions and artefacts on display.
Amazingly, they had the opportunity to wear armour and handle weaponry used during the Civil War. They also learnt about the lives of different individuals of the time, including spies!
It was an engaging and informative trip which has brought learning to life. The children have now been able to draw on their experiences to enhance their learning for the rest of the topic.
The adults accompanying the visit couldn’t resist dressing up either!
