As part of our topic, ‘How did WWII change people’s lives?’, Hogwarts class visited the International Bomber Command Centre. The children had the opportunity to watch thought provoking films; hear awe inspiring stories; play interactive games; explore engaging exhibitions and handle real life objects from Bomber Command.

The children were able to recognise the impact that the Bomber Command missions had on the war; remember the heroic acts of the individuals who were part of Bomber Command and understand the importance of reconciliation with all of those that were impacted by the war - from all countries.

The children were a credit to the school and many of the adults who help facilitate our visit commented on the exemplary behaviour of the class. Benji said ‘I thought the technology behind the jets they used was amazing.’ Florrie also said ‘I enjoyed hearing the personal stories of people involved.’
